Dependant when I start depends on my commission list, it usually takes me a week (let me know if you have a specific date you need it for and where possible I would see if I could meet your dead line).
Once we have agreed on a photograph, I will get you to confirm that this is the correct photograph that you would like replicating (due to working with wool, colours may not be exact to the photograph you provide but I will get as close to as possible). When picking the photograph, please remember that the colours, shape will be the final portrait so if you have a long haired dog/cat and you pick a picture of them clipped, this is what I will do. This is the same if the pet changes colour in summer or winter, ensure you pick which you would like to have done.
I always use a stone coloured background felt, if you would like a different colour, please let me know (price will vary dependant on the colour as I will have to order in specially).
I don't frame the portraits as each customer has different decor and I like to leave for the owner to choose.
All portraits are approximately 8” x 8” (head and part of the neck). I dont add collars so please if possible take the photograph without a collar on (if you specifically would like a collar, we can discuss as the price will vary dependant on detail).
I ask for a £50 non-refundable deposit prior to starting a portrait This covers my materials to start work on the portrait and in the event of you not liking the completed portrait, it will go towards some of the time spent working on it.
On completion, and if you are happy, I will ask for the remaining balance of £200 to be paid prior to posting.
All portraits are posted 24hr tracked and signed for.
I really hope I can produce a portrait that you are really happy with. If you need any adjustments, I will work with you as much as I can but in the event we cannot come to an agreement and you are still not happy, I will not ask for the £200. In this instance, I would retain the portrait and the £50 deposit. Unfortunately, I do not offer returns/exchanges on commissions due to being one offs and specific to the customer.
Please note that I retain the rights to reproduce (for prints, promotion, social media etc) any artwork created from your submitted photo. If the portrait is for a gift or surprise, please let me know as I will not use until the portrait has been gifted.
If you are happy with the above, please pay the deposit, on receipt I will contact you via email.

I wanted to say that when Dawn’s lovely portrait of our ‘Puss’ arrived, it was just how I imagined and hoped it would be. It captures him and his personality beautifully I love it. Thank you so much.
Also, I really appreciated the care Dawn took, both in creating his likeness and her communications with me to check I was happy with how he looked. Dawn is so skilled in the way she works and her use of wool plus real fur makes a real likeness. A portrait to treasure. I highly recommend this.
I met this artist at a country fayre, i fell in love with her work, then she tells me she can add my own dogs hair to the work, it was such a easy process, couldnt recommend her enough, it was a quick easy process, i was given updates regularly and cried everytime, then when my picture arrived i cried again, it was even better in real life, perfection, so talented and such a lovely lady to deal with, i will be getting a picture of my new puppy in time.
Just to say how very pleased I am with reproduction of my little dog into a fantastic picture made out of her fur. Dawn did a really amazing job and I would fully recommend her to anyone who is thinking of a unique picture of your pet.
